Sustained shared thinking refers to the concept of two or more individuals coming together in an intellectual way to solve a problem, clarify a concept, evaluate activities, extend an idea or share an experience. Both parties need to be engaged in the conversation or shared exploration for it to be beneficial.
During this session we will discuss what sustained shared thinking is, what it looks like and how we can ensure that we are incorporating it into our practice in a purposeful and meaningful way. By doing so practitioners will get to know children better, build more positive relationships and support them to intellectually grow.
